Another Drug Pusher Busted in Puerto Galera

After receiving informations of a confidential informant that someone was selling illegal substances, in this case the suspected drug shabu, the Municipal Police Station, under the supervision of Police Chief Inspector Lawrence V. Panganiban, conducted a joint anti-illegal drug/buy-bust operation at Barangay Minolo on April 21, around 1pm in the afternoon. The said operation of the MPS, 3rd Platoon, 3MC, RPSB 4B and PDEA MIMAROPA resulted in the apprehension of the suspected drug-pusher, identified as Jerry Velanzuela Gabuya, 23 years old, single, jobless, a native of Brgy. 4, Horrison St. Pasay City and presently residing at So. Minolo, Brgy. San Isidro, Puerto Galera.

The informant stated to the local police, that the suspect is operation in Brgy. San Isidro and nearby barangays within Puerto Galera as drug pusher. He make transactions to his clients thru text and/or personal transactions.

During the operation, one police officer of the MPS acted as the poseur-buyer together with the confidential informant. As Gabuya sold them one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet, containing a white crystalline substance, suspected as Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, also known as shabu, the trap closed and the suspect was arrested. The confiscated suspected drugs. Marked as evidence items JRC 2, JRC3 and JRC4 will be brought to the Regional Crime Laboratory Office MIMAROPA for laboratory examination. Jerry Velanzuela Gabuya is presently under the custody of the Puerto Galera Police Station. The necessary documents are prepared for filling appropriate charges against the suspect.
