There is one thing that Puerto Galera does not have and that is a public children’s playground. It is really a shame that a first class municipality does not have a place and facility for young kids to play and have fun at. A group of foreign residents and Filipinos made it their project to put up a children’s playground at Plaza Iluminada in Poblacion (town center). A Facebook group (Puerto Galera Children’s Playground) has been setup where members can discuss and be updated on what is happening with the project.
